Santisteban del Puerto Spain
Art photographer, born in Orléans (France) on December 22nd, 1979. First child of a couple of Spanish immigrants, living the first years of my life in Orléans, but three years old, my parents moved to Chécy, a small town on the outskirts. I lived a quiet childhood in a comfortable environment and without major economic problems, devoting myself to the cinema, arts, music and photography from an early age. At ten years old, I began to study at school Anatole Bailly of Orléans and after that I entered in Pothier institute in studies of literature and letters. After passing successfully the examination of French Bachalauréat, I entered in the faculty of arts, languages and humanities at the University of Orléans in foreign language studies, with a degree approved. After a period of little jobs, I decide to live in Spain. First in Jaén (Andalusia) and then in Santisteban del Puerto, a small Andalusian town where my family comes from. As I worked, I use my free time practicing photography and any kind of activities which have to do with art. After a few years of reflection and taking the opportunity, I decide to create VELA Fotografía, a photographic and multimedia creation studio. My photographs attempt to express my vision of what's around me, how I perceive the world and the emotions I feel when I take a shot, trying to imagine the essence of the subjects or objects I portray. I try to transform reality into effusive images, expressing why the picture is inspiring to me, not only taking the photograph of what I see, but how I see it.
